Volunteer
The Book Barn runs on about a dozen people and a lot of Saturdays.
What the work is
Sort donations. Price things. Shelve things. Work the register for a four-hour shift. Haul boxes. Occasionally recognize that the odd-looking book in the bottom of a box is worth setting aside.
What you need
No library experience required. No commitment beyond the shift you sign up for. If you like books and you can lift a box, you are qualified.
Open houses
We hold open houses at the Barn a few times a year - coffee, snacks, and a chance to see what the work looks like before you commit to anything. Watch Facebook for the next one.
