We buy the things a small county library budget cannot stretch to cover.
We are the Friends of the Rappahannock County Library - a volunteer group that buys the things a small county library budget cannot stretch to cover. Computers. Summer reading. The person who sits down with you and fixes your phone.

What we fund
The Friends supplement the library - technology support, contributions to the summer reading programs, and youth programs.
Where the money goesPrograms we support
Summer reading programs
The Friends contribute every year, to the youth program and the adult one alongside it.
Basic Computer Help
Funded in full by the Friends - a weekly assistant who sits down one-on-one with patrons and helps with their devices.
Community appreciation event
The Friends contribute toward the food.
Landscaping and grounds
Emergency and seasonal landscaping of the library grounds.

The Book Barn
Saturdays, 10 to 2, in the barn beside the library. Used books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and a rack of historic Rappahannock County maps. Every item was donated. Every dollar goes back to the library.

Give us your books. Give us a Saturday. Give us twenty dollars. All three are useful, and the first one is free.
