Friends of theRappahannock County Library

We are the Friends of the Rappahannock County Library — a volunteer group that buys the things a small county library budget cannot stretch to cover. Computers. Summer reading. The person who sits down with you and fixes your phone.

What we fund

New computers. The Youth Summer Reading Program. Emergency HVAC when the heat goes out in February. An on-site tech assistant who helps patrons with their devices, one at a time.

Three ways

Give us your books. Give us a Saturday. Give us twenty dollars. All three are useful, and the first one is free.

The Book Barn

Saturdays, 10 to 2, in the barn beside the library. Used books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and a rack of historic Rappahannock County maps. Every item was donated. Every dollar goes back to the library.

Volunteer

The Book Barn runs on about a dozen people and a lot of Saturdays.

Give

Every dollar we raise goes to the Rappahannock County Public Library. We have no staff, no office, and no overhead worth the name — the Book Barn is volunteers, and so is the board.
